Silversmithing: Bezel Set Pendant $100

Come join in for some soldering fun and make a pendant you’ll treasure forever! This is a beginning bezel setting class in which you will learn the basics for creating a bezel and back plate, adding a bail, setting the cab, and finishing. Class is limited to 4 seats so sign up early. 

Kit Fee: The kit for the class will be added to your ticket on the day of class.

Note: All materials and tools for classes must be purchased at Beadoholique Bead Shop. This allows us to continue providing you with quality classes.

Materials to purchase day of class: Kit includes: 24g sterling silver sheet Cabochon (no larger than 1″) Bezel wire (plain or scalloped) to fit cabochon 16g sterling round wire (bail) Bring these tools to class (or purchase): Nylon mallet, chasing hammer Rivet hammer, texturing hammer Steel bench block and sandbag Rubber block Template for the drop shape (provided) Metalworking files Soldering setup (may rent one): -fiber brick with heat-proof pan -butane torch w/fuel -Flux and brush -Titanium pick -Fine point tweezers (micro) -Easy, medium, and hard silver solder Miter vise Heavy duty wire cutters Metal scribe Power polishing attachments for flex shaft (blue, green, gray pumice – flat and knife edge) 6-step looping pliers Round, chain, and flat nose pliers Flat/Round pliers Hallmarking stamps and hammer Safety glasses and particle mask Fine tip disposable paint brush for patina Fine point Sharpie, pencil Bezel pusher or rocker Agate burnisher Steel curved burnisher Millimeter ruler Jeweler’s saw, blades, lube, bench pin Pro polish pads Sandpaper assortment Magnifiers/readers are highly recommended for a successful class experience (even if you wear contacts or glasses)! 1. Classes will begin on time! All students must arrive early for class. Even if you have already purchased supplies for the class, it takes time for everyone to set up and settle in. Students arriving late hold up the entire class — please be respectful of others by arriving early for class. If students do not contact the bead shop 24 hours prior to start of class, or do not show for the class, the class fee will not be refunded.
