Colored Pencil on Copper Earrings $100

August 23, 2025 @ 11:00 am 4:00 pm

colored pencil on copper earrings

Copper lends itself to taking color in several ways; in this class learn to apply colored pencil to it. Metalsmithing skills needed to work the copper are annealing, using a mill to thin and/or create texture, sawing, filing, scribing and soldering silver to copper. Additional skills include using a flex shaft for drilling and balling, flattening, and riveting wire. Colored pencil drawings with large shapes and solid colors are recommended because detail is difficult to achieve except in line work. Colors can be separated by color lines, or blended together. The simpler the better, and the metal can be flat or textured, with options added like more rivets or beads. As always, think out of the box! You can always get back in..

Kit Fee: The kit for the class will be added to your ticket on the day of class.
