Silversmithing: Bezel Set Pendant $100

June 28 @ 11:00 am 4:00 pm

bezel set pendant

Come join in for some soldering fun and make a pendant you’ll treasure forever! This is a beginning bezel setting class with advanced techniques for those who have smithing experience, making this a class for all levels! You’ll learn the basics for creating a bezel and back plate, adding a bail, setting the cab, and finishing. Class is limited to 4 seats so sign up early.

Advanced Students – choose one. Feel free to make the other project but both are a lot to do in one class.

1. Make a pendant with a bezel set stone, your choice of size and shape, on a textured background back piece. If your stone is attractive on the back, plan to make a cutout. If not, add a shape/shapes with sweat-soldering.

2. Make a silver dimensional form using an acrylic block cutout (a simple shape), texturing it and creating a bezel piece in which to set it. This piece can be a drop for another pendant, or a pendant alone (make it a bit larger). You can decorate the back of this piece as described in #1 for sweat soldering.

Kit Fee: The kit for the class will be added to your ticket on the day of class.
